Introduction
Broadly, nurses are faced with ethical dilemmas associated with choices between limited resources and competing needs. The nurses are more venerable to workplace violence while in duty. An example is the use of 12-hour shift strategy to maintain the nurses within the healthcare organization. According to Kennedy (2016), the last years are fascinating with northing to watch in terms of policies in the health care sector. The implementation of protection of patients' acts and affordable acts should not be the only policy to gain national attention from the publican and industry at large. According to Greenhalgh et al. (2016), there are great questions to whether states can elaborate democracy or whether there should be development of top-down solutions in the health care sectors. Research done by Crayne (2020) consider that vertical has identified that hospitals acquire as a group of physicians and practices.
The healthcare system needs reforms nationally. This is in association with the rise in health care costs with benefited healthcare technology, which allows individuals to live longer and have safer lifestyle choices. The approaches to promote healthcare in the community and societies include efforts by hospitals, schools, and government. According to the National Bureau, statics of Labor, the released a report about illness and injuries is associated with the nurses while at their duties. Example of the profession violence the nurse's experience A include direct physical assault by angry patients or even employers, verbal and written threats, and harassment. Research done by Kennedy (2016) suggests that people who do night shift work show an increased likelihood of developing a verity of medical conditions such a contracting a type of cancer. Kennedy (2016 also identified other common diseases caused by night shift including ulcers, gastrointestinal, metabolic issues, and obesity. The increased health also causes triglyceride exhibited by night shift employees. According to Greenhalgh et al. I absolutely agree with the colleague idea that respect and moral values plays an integral part not only in nursing but in every profession. However, the nurses just like any other professions deserve to be appreciated and compensated accordingly. To avoid stress leave related problems among the nurses, the organizations need to consider independent performance with free salary model. The nurses need to be compensated according to their job and have flexible work scheduling. Measures also need to be incorporated wellbeing and assessment of performance. The long working hours among nurses can also be mitigated by hiring more physicians and allowing nurses to work for fewer hours. The nurses play a huge role in saving the patient's lives; hence hospital leaders have a significant role in maintaining and creating a safety culture that ensures equality through the organization. The hospitals need to develop a code of conduct that only defines behaviors that are acceptable, which determines the safety and culture of patients. Hospitals need to find better opportunities for quality sleep and allow nurses to improve. According to Greenhalgh et al. (2016), the hospitals need to find a better opportunity for the nurses to find quality sleep. Nurses also need to work during the regular hours to avoid fatigue since this will allow them to perform well in their work.
Response 2
In the perspective of the unemployed nurses in the USA, the colleague suggests that the government should employ measures which protect the nurses financially to prevent bankruptcy. Besides, I would similarly suggest that government and Nurses commission should work together to ensure nurses are given proper balance, which will keep them healthier, more alert, and happy. The mental health among the physician is a taboo subject that makes a lot of people reluctant to pursue treatment due to shame, loss of income, and leisure time loss. The stigma needs to be countered by allowing the physicians to seek treatment in a minimized reputation. An example is extending services of mental health by providing coverage that allows physicians to attend work.
