There exist some groups that think climate change is caused by human beings, and it can be managed. Others are of the opinion that it is difficult to control global warming, and these views are driven by their interests. Some personnel blames other institutions for causing global warming, and they think that these institutions should be held responsible. Their activities should be stopped for environmental conservation.

Main Role

The main role that is adopted by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is ensuring that there is environmental conservation in the world. Therefore, it works on introducing laws to ensure that the various stakeholders are following the laws directed towards water, air, and the general ecosystems conservation. Considering that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) does not work alone on realizing this goal, the other stakeholders are likely to influence the rules it passes.

In the case of the special interest groups, they believe that the effects of global warming have severe repercussions in the world, and a lot of attention is supposed to be given to this sector. These groups include people and entities from all walks of life interested in ensuring that the world is a safe place for human inhabitation. They include journalists, student bodies, and the general public. When effects of climate change that include persistent drought and flooding strikes, it is the general public that is generally affected. The persons that are not performing well financially are severely hit for they lack the finances to manage the arising problems (Shapiro, 2016). In the event of a drought, they lack funds to purchase the basics like water and food, and they are mostly in the mercies of the donation bodies for their survival.

Interest Groups

The interest groups are usually in the front line to offer their assistance, and this is why they feel that there is a need to introduce laws that are helping to curb the menace caused by climate change. They are highly likely to support the regulations made by EPA calling for companies to ensure that they are reducing the amount of emissions released to the atmosphere. Additionally, these interest groups are likely to be in the front line lobbying for EPA to pass strict laws that will ensure that the environment is conserved. When the existing legislations are not implemented in the right way, these groups will undertake measures that will make sure that the relevant bodies are working on their mandate in the right way (Hoerterer et al., 2020). The groups are mostly geared towards offering financial support and any other help that EPA may need to undertake its mandate.

The influence on businesses and interest groups of the operations of EPA is highly likely to differ due to their differences in interests. The businesses are mainly geared toward making profits for their main aim is to maximize the wealth of their shareholders. Therefore, the issue of climate change is not high in their agenda, and if they are to play a role in the workings of EPA, they are not likely to support the moves adopted by this environmental conservation agency. Organizations are some of the entities that are polluting the environment through the emission of poisonous gases to the atmosphere. Additionally, they are releasing untreated wastes to the water bodies, and these are activities that are damaging the environment.

The process of treating these wastes will cost them a fortune, and this move will reduce the amount of profits recorded at the end of the fiscal period. Therefore, businesses are highly likely to avoid working with the EPA, for they understand that their profitability will reduce when they are compelled to treat wastes and install systems that will ensure that the emissions to the atmosphere are not harmful (Fosado Centeno, 2020). The companies support the fact that there is the existence of climate change, for they are feeling the effects of global warming. When drought strikes, their sales reduce, for the clients cannot manage to buy the commodities they are producing. Additionally, when flooding strikes, they also experience reduced sales, and they are also likely to suffer inadequacy of raw materials. Despite these problems, they feel that following the laws instituted by EPA on managing global warming is expensive, and they are likely to have adverse influence on the operations of the conservation agency.

Polititcs

The politicians’ interests are not mainly directed towards the management of climate change effects. Considering that politicians are the ones that are best placed to institute measures that can help in the management of climate change, and they have over the years failed to do that, it is an indication that global warming does not rank highly in their working plan. They agree that climate change is happening fro they can note the existence of flooding, drought, and diseases triggered by the damages caused to the ecosystems. However, they lack the political will to support EPA to ensure that all its goals are realized, and the legislation it has instituted are being followed to the letter.

The politicians seem to have other issues that are of interest, like the security of their people, more money getting allocated to their regions, and improvements to the health care processes. What they fail to understand is that one of the critical ways of controlling some of the diseases in the world is handling global warming (Gillard et al., 2016). Ailments such as skin cancer happen when the ozone layer is destroyed, allowing the passage of sun rays that are harmful to human skin. Therefore, they should be enlightened when they are fighting for more funding of the health care systems and the creation of programs that will ensure that everyone is covered by health care systems. They should understand that pollution is one of the major causes of some of the diseases.

Conclusion

Despite the differences among the various groups on the working of EPA, they all have some form of interest in managing climate change only that they do not rank the same way. They all work together towards the realization of similar objectives, which is to make the world a better place, and this is where they have an identical connection.
