Paragraph 1- Sherry Durham
The author has discussed the equal distribution of income among the people in the state. Equal distribution has been one of the aspects that stabilize the economy and reduces the rate of poverty in the country. According to the author, there is an unequal distribution of income in the United States because the nation is a capitalist economy. On the other hand, the author has discussed how some people support the government in influencing the distribution of income while others do not. But the biggest belief of the author is that the government should provide a balanced distribution of income to support both the rich and the poor. I, therefore, agree with the author in his opinion that the government should provide equal distribution in the society as discussed on page 77. I also agree that the unequal distribution can ruin the economy of the country and increase the rate of poverty among the people.
Paragraph 2- Francisco Trejo
I fully agree with the author regarding the equal distribution of income in the country, and the role of the programs such as the social security in the provision of income to the people. The author has discussed how some people rely on the government to get food assistance and money. This is a clear indication that the government has a big role in stabilizing the economy. On the other hand, I agree with the author based on too much reliance on the government. It has been discussed that some people would rely on the government too much. This will make them stop working and create difficulties in the government regarding the distribution of income as shown in figure 4.6. Therefore, people are encouraged to work for themselves and increase the economy of the country through carrying out business operations. I support the opinions of the author in the equal distribution of income to help those in need and raise the economy of the nation.
Paragraph 3- Kristen Graham
It is likely that the government should influence the distribution of income to the people in the society. According to the author, the distribution of income can benefit the society by encouraging the individuals to work harder. This is true because when an individual does not get his or her share, it will motivate him or her to work harder to earn more. On the other hand, I agree with the author that people are stuck in a rut because of unequal distribution of income. The wealthy people can get more advantages that the poor people because of their status in the country and their level of income. Therefore, the only institution that can solve the income distribution problems is the government. However, my opinions on figure 4.6 are that the distribution of income in the US is not equal. This is because of diverse levels of people regarding their wealth.
Paragraph 4- Kendalyn Mallory
The author has discussed various benefits of the distribution of income in the country. I agree with the fact that the equal distribution of income can save the economy and even motivate the entrepreneurs in business perspectives. However, succeeding in the current economy needs a hard work in business. The author has discussed that America is the country that has unequal distribution. I agree with this argument because according to the research, people remain in the same position. The poorer continue to be poor while the rich continue to be rich. On the other hand, I agree with the author based on the position of the government in the distribution of income and how the 4.6 model on page 77 has supported the statement of the author. However, some people will not support this statement because they claim that their money is used to support the people who are not working hard. Therefore, the government has a great task in resolving the issue.

- The United Nations was primarily formed as the successor to the League of Nations, which ended its operations after it was defeated in stopping World War II. During its creation, the U.N. began only with 51 member states, but today it is made up of 193 members and is headquartered in the New York City (Mingst & Karns, 2016). Significant initiatives run by the U.N. include providing humanitarian services to a large number of a population across the world, offering emergency food and medical assistance as well as solving conflicts by effective options to maintain peace. Besides, few years after its formation, a number of meetings were conducted where the main agenda was to draft a post-war charter that accurately outlined the most significant roles of the U.N. The membership rules were delineated on the permit where the membership was open to any peace-loving nation that accepted and was willing to undertake the responsibilities contained in the charter as well as the judgment of the organization (Assembly, 2010). The organization is typically structured into five principal organs which include the General assembly that is mainly concerned with the policy-making of the U.N., the Economic and Social Council that primarily concentrates on the environmental, social and economic issues associated with the development goals internationally. The third one is a judicial organ namely the international court of justice, which solves conflicts between members and offers advisory opinions to the organization (Mingst & Karns, 2016). The trustee council was also formed to ensure the self-governance of eleven territories, the UN Secretariat that acts as the administrative organ and lastly the Security Council, whose primary objective is to maintain international peace and security.
