Introduction

Aggressiveness, violence, bullying, desensitization to violence, fear, and depression represent media violence effects on children who are victims of violent television programs. Each of the mentioned effects has been associated with children between 5-10 years for this study because they are the most vulnerable to violent media content such as television programs (Huesmann et al., 2019).

Aggressive Behaviour

In the case of aggressive behaviour, children in this age group (5-10 years) develops an aggressive character that controls children most of the times because cognitive scripts that emerge inside the mind affect their perception of violence for an extended period. The fact that mental scripts develop inside children's' minds affirms their aggressive behaviour when they interact with one another (Huesmann et al., 2019). Children exposed to violent television program are the most violent according to studies, and they react violently to one another for a long time. The same pattern that affects children while developing aggressive characters happens to with violent behaviours because their mentality develops scripts that dictate them how to behave among colleagues (Hermes, 2019). Since the research study uses children between the ages of 5-10 years to complete this study, permission would be granted by parents and accompany them to make the entire process even smoother (Hermes, 2019).

Media Violence Effects

In some points, parents would have to answer questions on behalf of their children to affirm and grasp the extend of media violence effects on children for accuracy purposes. The research study would use desensitization theory to understand how repeated exposure of violent video program affects children for purposes of understanding medial violence. The theory will meet research requirements for medial violence because how fear responses are replaced with a relaxation response to the conditional stimulus that can explain how violent media program affect children. (Antar, 2019). Huesmann et al. (2019) demonstrated mistaken behaviour levels and the impact of media violence that affects children at greater levels. In the study, the author also explains numerous effects of media violence on children, such as aggression and violence.

Conclusion

Research on media violence effects is crucial because it proposes recommendations that would help future studies aspiring to cover a similar topic, media violence. The proposal revolves around the type of participants and the accuracy of data collection. The research paper broadly analyses the effects of media violence on children using cultivation theory because it exposes suggestions on media over time.
