Optimism ideally is being able to realize the positives in a situation regardless of how hard it may prove to be, “Thinking of the glass as half-full, rather than half-empty.” Being an optimist entails a sequence of positive concepts that often sees the best in everything. An optimistic person believes that their actions result in rather positive things happening and that they are responsible for their happiness and that of others and consequently expect more good things to happen in the future. They persevere unimaginable suffering, difficulties and still manage to maintain a positive outlook on life. Optimistic people have learned to accept hardships, interpret it positively and use it to impact their lives in a rather good way. For instance, a person may be going through a rough patch, maybe they’ve lost their job but still manage to put a smile on their face and hope they’ll find a new job.
