She oversees many departments; therefore, no room for chit-chatting with her juniors unless she allows it. Her position makes her act like a boss to gain and maintain respect.

Rita demonstrates openness as a relationship-building strategy. Although she is the project manager who makes most decisions, she is responsible for communicating with Nimish with the team every decision and discussion. She is also very open to hearing ideas and opinions from her juniors.

His collaboration with others has been a bit rocky, as he needs a refresher on current trends in card making. It has felt as though he is the one being guided and not guiding the team as his consultation role.

He has demonstrated commitment as a relationship-building strategy by mentoring Dave. He gave him goals and deadlines on projects to become better in his role as an intern.

When people relate and build their relations, they tend to deliver effective results in their capacities. Apart from that, relationship building and collaboration help grow the trust of one another in the company (Lauber, 2014).
