Zika virus is considered as a single-stranded RNA virus that is transmitted primarily through a bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. The virus spreads faster and rapidly throughout the world. As a result of this, it is practical to implement efficacy and preventive measures that are aimed at eradicating the transmitting agents of this disease (Tork & Basam, 2019). As the Zika virus is still on the spread, it is vital that individuals or communities have to get involved with activities and programs which can control the mosquito populations. There is still a need to protect themselves from some of bites that are caused by Aedes species mosquitos. Schools are generally considered to play an essential role in the Zika response, and this is done through the involvement of students and staff in education. Other awareness of the same issue is needed to minimize most of the spread. Therefore, the critical aim of this essay is to express and analyze some of effectively issues applied in education intervention and other awareness to curb the spread of the virus either through schools or in awareness campaigns (Towers et al., 2018).
For any program or activity to be active and be used in school on the Zika virus, it is good for the management to fully understand its background, complications, and other issues which are related to the Zika virus. Some of the information/data provided might be sensitive and not intended to disseminate directly to students or the broader community. Any person has to be aware of the outbreak of this virus, and some of its signs/symptoms before the action of medication take a useful place.
Under the case of its transmission, it has been recorded out that majority of the patients with the virus have a history of travel from one region to the other (Gregorio Jr et al., 2019). In that verdict, there is a need to involve various methods that will be used to look out for ways that will be used for the intervention. Some of these methods which are frequently used are quasi-experiment intervention and non- observational technique, which gives us a comparison for the victim. It also elaborates on those who are at high risk of being infected with the disease.
Administering of some questionnaires in vital in obtaining information that is related to the spread of the Zika virus. The survey has to express on timing, clarity, and interpretation of education data presented because of the Zika virus. There is still a need to know the exact data of people involved in the study as this ensures that the answer collected from questions posed align with knowledge of its transmission. It also expresses some of the complications which arise where participant have to express their ideas based on considered data. According to Bouzid et al. (2016), most of institutional and educational sectors have retained that the Zika virus needs a review for the case of its access to the knowledge on transmission.
The knowledge of this disease on an educational basis has shown a drastic risk with the perception of those involved in the study. With that case, it becomes easy for research to provide the first opportunity for the transfer of information related to the virus. Therefore, educational intervention is useful since it has raised the level of knowledge about the Zika virus infection (Casapulla et al., 2018). However, it has contributed towards the adoption of new alternatives for the resolution of the risk involved, thus reducing the proliferation in society and schools. Overall, there is a need to reinforce various responsibilities under the context which has to be raised under the inter-sector and teamwork application on some of Zika virus programs.
