After the two readings, I believe that the applied sociology and sociological stance fields have evolved with time. I understand that the applied sociology has played a significant role in the development of humankind and society in general. It is possible to know the various issues affecting society and demeaning the quality of life through the applied sociology field. I believe that many sectors have managed to benefit from the use of the applied sociology concepts.
In the health care sector, a significant number of personnel are relying on the program to undertake their research process and derive quality outcomes from them. The scientists in this field are required to ensure that they are tying their studies to the applications that can be generated practically, and this is a move that has made it easier to utilize the applied sociology concepts (Bryant & Peck 2007). I have managed to note that the evolution of applied sociology makes society better for institutions are currently becoming society-engaged than before.
Any funding that is geared towards supporting the research processes will be diverted towards the fields that are supporting communities. I believe that this is a great move for some of the studies focusing on the way that the underprivileged in society can be provided with a platform to improve their lives. The minority groups manage to have a voice, an issue that is making their lives better. I think that the emergence of independent and professionally applied sociology over the years, has played a significant role in society growth.
I understand that it is critical for society to know their past and present, which will enable them to generate a path to the future (Carter & Fuller 2016). Societies can only get to benefits through the sociological practice ideologies if the right measures are taken that lay the foundation for creating a better future.
Different scholars, such as Karl Max, Max Weber, and John Locke, have played a significant role in the development of humans, for they helped in exposing the different ways in which people behave and manage to co-exist. Philosophers played a huge role in analyzing concepts that are related to capitalism, human labor, class conflict, and capitalist order. I believe that they laid the intellectual foundations upon which the present society is based.
I know that the convergent movements that have arisen under the concept of sociological concepts have been critical to today’s development of social change. I am impressed by the solutions that these philosophers developed geared towards ending the problems experienced by societies. They advocated for the application of socialism to mitigate cases of political disorder, the suffering of the poor, and class struggle.
My thoughts on these readings is that changes encountered over the years have led to the growth of the sociological practice and the sociology field, enabling easier decision-making process among the scholars in these sectors (Dentler 2002). Studies and social surveys will continue to benefits form the application of the applied sociology concepts, and there will be a great understanding of the behavioral and sociological ideologies that are raised by human beings.
A tradition covers behavior or belief that is passed down a group that tends to have a symbolic meaning. After reading these pieces of literature, it is possible to note that there is an applied tradition that covers the way that humans behave and interact. It is possible that social reforms have been used over the years to make society better, and this is notable in the case involving the minority groups getting an opportunity to enjoy their rights like the other people.
