SWOT Analysis of Texas Roadhouse
In terms of strengths, the company has many branches offering similar products. Through franchising, the company has been able to create a large customer base as well as amassing more profits compared to the other companies that do not have as many branches. Secondly, the company enjoys the strength of reliable revenues and a robust financial position. This is because it has many branches in the US and others in the Middle East, which contribute towards the same pool of finances. The company also enjoys the strength of uniqueness through the services they offer and the traditions that they depict in the way that their locations are set up and themed. This has helped to set the business apart from its competitors in the food industry.
The company has some weaknesses, for example, having a limited presence in the global restaurant market compared to other similar companies such as McDonald's and McFries. Additionally, the company has suffered from instances of poor crisis management by their senior management, in the process of hurting the company's brand and image, losing their favor in the market that they occupy.
There are unexplored opportunities for Texas Roadhouse, for example, the possibility of expanding into the local and international market that offers them more possibilities of growth. The company can also engage in mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships that would make them even stronger. The threats to Texas Roadhouse include the changing preference of customers, which include vegan and vegetarian lifestyles that reduce the number of customers that the company has. Additionally, there is the threat of being overpowered by their competitors who offer similar or differentiated products. Finally, the company faces the threat of increased taxes from the government, which threatens their profit margins.
