A calling is defined as a sincere desire to commit oneself to serve and by professional tasks and values. Many people, however, are in jobs they don't like because of money. Professions have become more of venal choices as opposed to passion. However, those who have had an opportunity to spend a day with a registered nurse can attest to the fact that nursing is more than just a job. To state that a registered nurse is a busy person is the most significant understatement. However, those who practise nursing as a calling can assert that each day is as reenergizing as it is exhausting. Whereas it is almost impossible to claim that there is such a thing as a typical day in the life of a nurse, their eventful life is more dedicated to their patient than it is to them. Therefore, it is safe to say that nursing requires a relatively high degree of selflessness. This paper is going to expound on my educational and career goals in the field of nursing,
Being a nursing student is hard; it is even harder a registered nurse. It is quite impossible to hear otherwise from anyone who has been through the same journey. Throughout nursing school, the only thing that keeps me going is primarily the profound love for restoring, maintaining, and improving health. The fact that the contemporary world has become fast-paced and people are more concerned with money and success than they are with health is another reason that motivates me to keep pushing knowing that someday, the struggles will all be worth the effort. By the time I was 17 years, I had already decided on nursing as my career field. I began with volunteering as a Home Health Aide, and by the time I was 19, I was a Certified Nurse Assistant. My varied coursework and skills set obtained in working with Registered Nurses in various facilities have equipped me with the knowledge and confidence I need. My personality is in line with my career choice as I happen to be a very compassionate and empathetic person. I get a sense of satisfaction by merely reducing someone's pain and even more fulfilled when I restore their health.
I intend to further my education to be more relevant and useful in the field of nursing. Through nursing, I can give back to the community and put a smile on the faces of people I love. A wise saying goes that whenever there is a love for medicine, there is also a love for humanity. The whole concept of humanity is to care about each other. Nursing has allowed me the pleasure of making the world a better place, one patient at a time. My perspective of healing is one of a person who aspires to make the world a better place for our children, and our children's children. I believe that there is a place in each and everyone's heart that is filled with love and a sense of caring. It is only through the reflection of the personal love to the outside world that we can make life a little brighter than tomorrow. Nursing has positively changed my goals and priorities. Whereas it is almost impossible to take care of everyone, there is a great sense of fulfilment that comes with trying. Nursing has helped me a picture that there are ways to get there if we can only care enough for the living (Sorensen, Delmar And Pedersen, 421-430).
My second objective is to confer myself with deep-rooted learning. I unequivocally trust that training doesn't end at graduation, instead it proceeds for whatever length of time that you are in the nursing calling. In spite of the fact that I am in no rush to finish my Masters' degree because of my choice to secure nursing background, to begin with, it is a piece of my plans later on. Some portion of being an attendant is the utilisation of information and the continuation of learning. I will probably make it a point to remain current on instruction by taking courses, going to gatherings, getting confirmations, and additionally joining important nursing associations. It is likewise an objective of mine to be a skilful medical attendant. By this I intend to comprehend the method of reasoning behind all that I do. I trust it is imperative for an attendant to take a stab at no medicine mistakes or math blunders, for instance. This will give a medical attendant the certainty and the capacity to reconsider and lessen any medical caretaker slip-ups. By finishing this objective, I am propelling my profession and growing my viability as a prosperous medical caretaker.
My third and last objective is to give progressing group administration to those needing therapeutic help and are less blessed. It has dependably been a desire for me to offer back to the group or even to movement to devastated nations to help out. When I have achieved enough nursing abilities, I intend to enrol with debacle registries and in addition fiasco reaction associations. It would be a respect for me to serve denied and destitute individuals, an approach to additionally characterize my own importance of being an enlisted nurture (Howard 184-185). Am I giving others comfort, as well as improving my inclination and planning in the therapeutic field. This permits me an opportunity to associate with different individuals from various foundations and furnishes me with affirmation to why I do what I do.
