Cyberbullying is a hurtful and harmful as bullying that happens inside or outside the school can result in many terrible things. Therefore, the school should be involved to protect the students. All three are bad examples of bullying, and it can destroy a child'schild's social life. Once cyberbullying interferes with the educational environment, then it will be hard for students to focus on their studies. (Akcan and Erdinc 47). They be so worried about being bullied and are afraid to come to school because of being picked on. According to research (Daniels, Ellen) states, the survey found the dropout rate was 29 percentper cent average in schools with high levels of teasing and bullying but, 28 percentper cent below average in schools with comparatively low levels of teasing and bullying. (Tzani-Pepelasi et al., 11). There is said to be a rule of zero -tolerance against school violence or anything that will lead a student to hurtinghurt themselves or getting hurt.
Moreover, cyberbullying affects many students that most people think and it affects their mental health and their self-esteem. The school should be aware of the activities taking place both inside the school and outside the school. The question is, are schools doing enough to solve the problem. That'sThat is mainly the issue today dealing with wanting to know why many students are committing suicide. Bullying can lead to stress, depression, unhappiness, and even suicide. Being that suicide is the second most leading cause of death among teenagers in the United States, they feel that if no one hears their cry, then the only solution to the problem is to take their own life. According to an article written by John Greenya, it was stated by Ron Stephens, an executive director of the National School Safety Center, ""calls bullying one of the most enduring problems in schools".." Stephen states, ""up to 75 percentper cent of American children have been victims of bullying.
Schools should be involved in off-campus cyberbullying because the victims are part of the school. If more schools get involved, take a stand, and make sure that parents are involved as well in their child/childrenchildren's online activity, it will save a lot ofmany kids who are dealing with this terrible thing that is called cyberbullying. (Tzani-Pepelasi et al., 11). It will make the schools a better place for students to not to be afraid to attend just to proceed with their learning habits. (Kanbul, and Kezban 1362). Schools must do better and get involved in the prevention of off-campus cyberbullying because it can build a safe, positive environment, prevent students from dropping out of school, and decrease the suicide rates.
Schools should get involved in off-campus cyberbullying because it will affect the student's performance and social life. Consequently, this is impacting their life and the health and safety of the kids (Kanbul, and Kezban 1361). It will also affect their grades and how they perform, and this is the reason they school should be involved in punishing off-campus cyberbullying (Akcan and Erdinc 47). Some people may argue that schools should not be involved with off-campus cyberbullying because it is not their business (Tzani-Pepelasi et al., 11). When it starts to affect the performance, health, and safety of the student, the school should get involved. Although this activity might be taking place online, it will still follow the student into school, and in most cases, it leads to real bullying.
