Leach, Poyser, and Butterworth investigated the relationship that exists between bullying in the workplace and individual's behavior and suicidal thoughts. According to the authors, workplace bullying is closely associated with poor mental health with side effects such as suicidal ideation being common. The authors also argue that the current knowledge of workplace bullying has failed to present a systematic summary relating to this issue. Consequently, the authors conducted a systematic review summarizing available and published studies connecting workplace bullying to poor mental health.
