The use of robotics in health care delivery has led to an improvement in the quality of care and delivery of safer care to patients. This has consequently contributed to improved patient outcomes and a reduction in the cost of health care. However, the use of therapeutic robots has been challenged, in its assistive role of improving the patient outcomes, by the vulnerable patients' population who have disabilities or cognitive challenges.
The rationale behind my selection of this topic is to explore and create awareness of existing multidisciplinary teams of healthcare givers of the effectiveness of the method in healthcare delivery. My interest in the matter is its effectiveness in managing patients, thus improving the quality of care. I have based my research on scholarly articles for professionalism and precise and reliable information. The automated use of robotics in health has positively impacted patients' health, in the essence that it has facilitated the improvement in health through the provision of alternate care kits. Therefore, this publication remains relevant to healthcare givers in their daily role of advocating for quality care delivery to patients; hence a campaign for inclusion and implementation of robotics in health care delivery is a vital health intervention.
Strudwick, G., Reisdorfer, E., Warnock, C., Kalia, K., Sulkers, H., Clark, C., & Booth, R. (2018). Factors associated with barcode medication administration technology that contribute to patient safety: an integrative review. Journal of Nursing Care Quality, 33(1), 79-85. https://journals.lww.com/jncqjournal/Fulltext/2018/01000/Factors_Associated_With_Barcode_Medication.12.aspx.
Electronic medication administration and barcoding in health have contributed immensely to the improvement of healthcare delivery to patients. Reduction in medical error incidences is also another milestone in health, achieved through electronic medication administration. My rationale in selecting this topic and article is the relevance and enlightenment it has in its application of evidence-based practice in the improvement of healthcare delivery to patients. This journal explains in detail the significance of electronic medication administration and the associated health benefits. As seen in the electronic medication administration, the impact of advanced technology is the overall improvement in the health of patients through safer care delivery and time management, which is in terms of drug administration frequency.
This electronic medication administration practice has been researched and its evidence-based practice implemented in healthcare settings, satisfying its relevance in the nursing process. Therefore, this publication has deemed a must-read for healthcare givers in their quest for patient justice as far as improved, and quality care is concerned. It is a recommendation to healthcare facilities management to adopt, if not yet implemented, the practice of utilizing the evidence-based electronic medication administration approach to reduce medication errors, improve patient safety, and ensure quality care is delivered to the patients.

Telehealth is the integration of data, information, knowledge, and technology in health care settings. With advancements in technology, the adoption and implementation of telehealth in healthcare facilities have promoted care delivery to care recipients. My rationale behind selecting this topic and article is its relevance and enormous contribution to patients' quality care delivery. The potential health benefits of telehealth in both rural and urban settings warrant its adoption in healthcare settings.
The faster electronic transfer of information from one department to another in a health care facility has enhanced the quality of care by saving the time taken for the initiation of care. It has positively impacted patients' quality of care and safety by installing relevant health android apps or even accessing specified health websites to get appropriate health information in these health-tailored access portals. In the current world, patients can access their health information by merely logging in these health developed apps, anytime, anywhere. Laboratory results may be electronically sent to the requesting department without delay. This ensures no possible loss of test results within the way when physically handled by the patient. With the faster arrival of the lab test results, consultation is quick and precise diagnosis is made in no time, hence faster, high-quality care to the patient. This publication remains relevant to improving healthcare quality and related interventions and procedures to patients, thus a must-read for all healthcare providers to meet their required competencies in nursing practice.
Maraganore, D., Freedom, T., Simon, K., Lovitz, L., Musleh, C., Munson, R., & Meyers, S. (2020). Quality improvement and practice-based research in sleep medicine using structured clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. Sleep Science and Practice, 4(1), 1. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/s41606-019-0038-2.
This article argues the importance of structured electrical, clinically structured documentation to improve patients' quality of care and sleep patterns. It argues that proper documentation of discrete data helps in the diagnosis and management of patients. Easy and accurate data presentation in electronic gadgets helps in easy retrieval and analysis of the patient data for easy diagnosis and management of the underlying condition.
The rationale behind choosing this topic and article is its relevance and objective in promoting patient healthcare. It articulates the essence of proper electronic documentation with clinical support to improve the quality of care to patients. Its impact on patient safety and the quality of care is synergistic with the nursing practice role of health promotion, particularly patient safety and safer care delivery.
This publication remains relevant to the nursing practice, and therefore its information is useful to know and put into practice where applicable. The evidence-based practice of this article's argument has been helpful in a clinical setting to manage patients ailing from different health conditions. I would recommend its adoption and implementation in healthcare settings by healthcare providers to help them plan, analyze, evaluate, and diagnose clients' health problems.
Braun, D., Braun, E., Chiu, V., Burgos, A., Gupta, M., Volodarskiy, M., & Getahun, D. (2020). Trends in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Utilization in a Large Integrated Health Care System. JAMA network open, 3(6), e205239-e205239. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/article-abstract/2767258.
The above article describes the trends over time in utilizing the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the management of neonates with underlying conditions. It has shown improvement in neonates' management, especially situations involving gestation age and birth weight by utilization of the NICU. The rationale behind selection of this topic and article is its emphasis on effective application of evidence-based practice in improving the quality of care to the neonates.
The cohort study utilized in this article utilizes the extracted data from the electronic medical records in a certain health facility to research the impact of workflow systems in managing and improving health in neonates’ delivery in that particular health facility. The effect of information in the above article on the improvement and advancement of quality health care to neonates has been synergistic with the nursing process role in improving quality health care to patients. It is an example of evidence-based practice in the utilization of workflow management systems.
This article is in relevance and collaboration with the nursing process to improve quality healthcare to patients. Therefore, it is an essential source of health information to healthcare providers in their daily health care delivery. I would recommend it a must-read to these healthcare givers to increase their knowledge, experience, and expertise upon implementing these evidence-based workflow management systems.
Conclusion
Advancement in technology and its corresponding application in a wide range in nursing have contributed immensely to improving and delivering safer care to patients. Diversity in the application of evidence-based practice in nursing has proved to be synergistic with the nursing process's role in improving the quality of care. Patient safety has been considered following the concerns raised on the significance of quality of care and continuous unrelenting advocacy by the nurses on its significant illness recovery role. The application of delivery robots in nursing care is also instrumental in realizing an optimal quality care delivery to patients.
