Introduction
In my report, I have chosen to analyze the Jazz live concert performed at the Chicago Music Exchange by Brian Blade and the fellowship band. I enjoyed watching the three songs performed during the concert. However, the song titled “The King’s Highway” was the one that particularly interested me. I was thrilled watching the song over and over again. The YouTube jazz concert video performed by them was named “Brian Blade and The Fellowship Band (Live) at Chicago Music Exchange.” While watching the video, I noticed that the central point of this jazz performance was the drums. This astonished me since, for the best part, I had never linked Jazz the drums. I had believed all through that clarinets and saxophones were the only musical instruments that could be associated with Jazz. The most exciting part was that the drums well complimented every other device utilized all through during the entire performance.
Throughout the entire video, drums can be heard since they are the central focus of the presentation. The sentiment of the genre being played, following the drums, was well brought out by saxophones making it to be identified as Jazz. As I watched the video, the saxophone sound made me start moving in my seat directly from the beginning. The mellow sound of the saxophones could be heard playing. However, they make someone move. The progressively the saxophones’ upbeat music that gave someone a relaxed tone was made possible through the drums.
Apart from the saxophones, one could briefly hear the piano. However, it plays a significant role throughout the video. One could realize the crucial role played by the piano as it is heard exclusively with the drums by carefully following the saxophones. Likewise, in contrast with the saxophones at the start of the video, the piano gives the exhibition a progressively cheery tone. The presentation sound is gradually made energetic because together, the playing of the keyboard and the drums are performed in a quick rhythm, commonly referred to as allegro. Again, one could hear the performance as it was being carried down by the saxophones to a slower tempo. It is after the performance of the piano with the drums.
All through the start of the video, the saxophones, the piano, and the drums assume a significant role. However, I can hear the bass in the background. The bass appears as if it does not have any vital role throughout the performance, but yes, it has. A more profound sound to the remainder of the instruments is given by consolidating the bass into the performance. Likewise, the bass, which is in an exceptionally mellow tone, has a solo demonstration with the drums. The applause of the viewers can be perceived towards the end of the drums with the bass solo act because the sound emitted by the string instruments energizes them.
All instruments start to be heard together after the solo performance of each instrument with the drums. The performance class progressively turns out to be Jazz at the point when all the instruments are heard together. The concert opens up with every instrument being listened to all alone and then played together to gather up the speed and energize the crowd. The exhibition advances all through the video into a progressively upbeat tone after starting at a moderate pace. As the footage gradually approaches the end, the exhibition rhythm starts to back off again to shut off the performance.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I realized that one genre of music should not be linked to a single instrument. This came after I had listened to the performance of Brian Blade and The Fellowship Band. I generally related the drums and string instruments with rock, yet, I discovered that it could likewise sound great when played in the performance of Jazz. This was after I keenly watched the video. I was delighted watching this presentation since I loved that there did not need to be somebody singing to entertain a crowd of people. The straightforward sound of each instrument made me move well in my seat. That is the thing that music is tied in with, involving the audience with the sound of every instrument.
