The topic also taught me how it is useful it is to maintain weak ties, as the people involved in creating them may not be intimate with each other, but come from differing cultures and may provide new information that may be particularly important to us. I love meeting new people in social media as they may give me new ideas I never had which can be very helpful in my life. Social networking has benefitted me greatly as I now date with my partner whom I met online. We met on Facebook and started chatting with each other and now meet frequently face to face to keep the love alive. I also use LinkedIn and Facebook to meet new people and share ideas about jobs. I have issues with people you sometimes meet online, and when you are just checking up on them, they think you have a crush on them and it becomes hard explaining your position. I also find a problem who bring up their family issues on social media and exposing their vulnerabilities to people, thinking they are relieving themselves while they are magnifying it.

Conclusion:

Social networking is crucial to all people in society today as it helps individuals gain information and knowledge from others, be it online or face-face interactions. However, most people, especially digital natives prefer to use social media to relieve stress as some have become dependent on their smartphones.
