Introduction
With the changing systems across all sectors, technology application has become a crucial system in education. As such, stakeholders are currently using technology to enhance both learning and teaching. Through the modern system, learners and teachers have acquired a more effective way of integrating, thus, enhancing the education process. The essay analysis the conceptual cultural effect of technology in school settings.
Technology in Curriculum and Instructions
The establishment of technology in a school setting has created an effective way teachers use in delivering instructions. The approach has been triggered by an effective connection between learners and teachers (Thoma et al., 2017). As such, technology application has assisted in creating a platform that promotes interaction and participation among stakeholders (Brown & Vaughn, 2015). The approach has assisted in delivering the required curriculum and instructions, and this has been associated with positive outcomes.
The application of cheap modern devices such as laptop and tablets have given all students an easier way to access the system. Most of the devices, such as tablets, are chargeable, and hence, learners effectively use them even in areas without access to electricity (Donohue & Kaldor, 2018). The cooperation of stakeholders and the government has ensured that the technology system is easily accessible to all students. Additionally, the application of technology has positively impacted students’ participation in all levels as the system connect stakeholders from the local, national, and international level (Thoma et al., 2017). As such, students can successfully participate in international learning through the assistance of technology.
The application of technology in a school setting has been perceived as a key aspect of innovation and creativity. As such, the system has given learners a chance to learn what other communities are doing, thus, gaining crucial knowledge about life (Donohue & Kaldor, 2018). Furthermore, the approach has triggered learners to engage in creative tactics, hence, solving issues that exist within the environment. Additionally, the approach has triggered to rise in digital age collaboration, which has stimulated to information sharing among different groups across the world.
Vision and Plan
In institutions, leaders have a big role in creating a vision and plan that determines what is supposed to be done. Technology development influence leaders create a vision and plan that aim at digitalizing the institution (Donohue & Kaldor, 2018). As such, the leadership system influence head of staff to connect school goals with how technology assists in attaining them. The approach helps in determining which technology system a school is supposed to deploy to meet a particular goal (Briggs, 2018). Additionally, the leadership system influence schools managers to articulate a shared vision of how digital system enhance their learning system (Brown & Vaughn, 2015). The technique influences the kind of systems engaged in to ensure the attainment of the goals.
Faculty and Staff Skills
The success of a technology system depends on the skills among those implementing. In a school setting, teachers and other members of nonteaching staff are key individuals that determine the success of a technology system. Therefore, technology skills impact leaders to engage numerous learning systems to ensure students fully benefit from the structure. In this case, high skilled teachers integrate technology systems to ensure they revolutionize the learning process (Donohue & Kaldor, 2018). Normally, technology skills influence teachers and faculty to effectively recognizing issues such as computer problems, which may arise during the learning process (Brown & Vaughn, 2015). The technique ensures learners are provided with the best learning ground, thus, creating a positive learning environment.
Safe Use of Technology
Technology application is highly associated with unsafe sites, such as pornography, which may negatively affect the behaviors of children. Therefore, teachers are mandated to ensure students access sites that are beneficial for their education. As a way of promotes the safe use of technology, teachers are required to only open education sites and restrict others. The approach ensures students maintain their focus on learning (Thoma et al., 2017). Additionally, an installing system that offers security systems to learners who are attempted to visit unsafe sites (Donohue & Kaldor, 2018). The system gives teachers an opportunity to safeguard all the data students are using, and this is a critical aspect to maintain a safe learning environment.
Effect of Technology on Culture
Technology application has been associated with major changes that alter institutions’ culture. As such, the system digitalizes learning structures, thus, developing a culture that relies on technology in all aspects of learning (Thoma et al., 2017). The approach makes learning life better as it promotes new ways of delivering content. Furthermore, children are given the opportunity to access learning, even when they are away from the school environment (Briggs, 2018). This behavior gives even those who cannot access the classroom a chance to learn different courses.
ISTE Standards
As a way of enhancing the technology system, the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) has become a critical aspect that promotes innovation within the education sector. ISTE assists education practitioners in preparing learners to understand how technology can enhance life improvement. As educational leaders, it is crucial to be a learner connector and visionary planners, which are major ISTE standards in enhancing students to understand how the system can enhance their life (Thoma et al., 2017). As a visionary planner, it will be my role to assist in formulating a strategic plan, which will assist in transforming learning through a digital system (Donohue & Kaldor, 2018). Embracing models that promote learners' connection will promote their participation in education even if they are not linked physically.
