Summary of Each Meeting
The group has held two meetings where different members were chairs of the meeting. The first meeting was held under the leadership of the practice manager. Members of the group were tasked with creating different agendas that are to be included in the code of conduct. How to Communicate Feedback in a manner appropriate to Cultural and Social Diversity
One of the most effective cross-cultural communication methods is to ensure that communication is made in a simple, clear, and unambiguous manner. For instance, the leader can communicate the Feedback on the suggested codes of conduct in a transparent manner without including unnecessary humor. Another way may consist of the incorporation of goodwill and courtesy in their communication. For instance, the leader can politely reject a suggestion if it is not easily applicable instead of rebuking the member.
How to treat Team Members with Integrity, Respect, and Empathy
To demonstrate integrity, respect, and empathy, the leader can effectively listen to what the members are saying before expressing his or her opinion. For instance, when a member is making suggestions on topics that can be included in the code of conduct, the leader should listen and not interrupt or speak over the member. Another method is to include members' ideas to improve or change work. For example, the leader can inform the members of their ideas that he or she is going to implement when creating the code of conduct.
How to Adjust Interpersonal Styles to Suit the Situation
Interpersonal styles can be adjusted to fit different situations. For example, a leader can use paraphrasing and active listening to explore a comment that has created misunderstandings in terms of meaning and intent between two members. Additionally, a leader can organize a plan that will facilitate mutual exploration and understanding of views in a meeting where members will have diverse perspectives based on the members' backgrounds.
Types of Behaviour that Encourage Team Members to Develop and Maintain Effective Workplace Relationships
A leader can encourage team members to develop and maintain effective workplace relationships by establishing trust with the members and working with them. For example, a leader can build trust by protecting the members' confidence, taking responsibility for mistakes, and practicing honesty and fairness.
