Level of Resistance
Resistance is the ability to stay focused on daily life activities amidst difficult situations that come along (Taormina, 2015). Individually, I have had several instances of personal stress and anxiety. I have been able to cope with them, however difficult they seemed. I did a self-assessment on my level of capabilities to become resistant to stress. After the assessment, I felt good because I managed to carry on without any sign of anxiety and confusion due to the pressure. Stress management can be quite tricky since public safety works involve a lot of interactions with different people from different walks of life. Therefore, I would want to work on diversity management to resist stress and become resilient.
