Festivals are good times for artists to show their uniqueness, inventiveness, and the art of transporting the audience from the real world to the musical world through set of instruments like dreams. I believe that the safety and efficiency of your organization rely on factors that include finances, brand reputation as far as the career of the investor. The relationship between the audience and the artist is challenging as it transfers their mindset from a far world to an entertaining world, which may lead to life-changing factors. In the modern world, logistics and planning have become so vital since there is an increase in the complexities of new technology, which has led to the output to be in bulk. Another factor that has led to the elements is the desire for unrestricted warfare and creative passion.
The founding father of the United States of America, known as Franklin Benjamin, once said, "If you are failing to plan, then you are planning to fail."
For successful planning at a festival, there is some factor that needs to be put in place as the plan goes. The following are three grounds which should be included in case you want a successful festival panning;
- Technology planning is a process in which technical change of a technology of a particular program to achieve its end state.
- Audience satisfaction means that issues that are occurring concerning customer satisfaction should be in the first line of solution.
- Artist's sector to be well kept in place, meaning that all facts related to artists should be kept in place.
As these factors are being given a start, their nature depends on the typology of the events that you are hosting and also your venues of operation (Jordan, 2019). I believe that if your planning is right and the operation market does not produce the number of the audiences you are hoping for, and then you will have to leave and make a try some other day. The main point is that you have to plan and should not neglect planning because if you fail to plan, you may be in a problem that you could've solved. So to avoid putting your reputations at risk, then planning is more vital and more important. Three factors which include licensing, planning, and managing are the critical factor which can fly your ideas from the foundation to the highest level possible.
Everyone needs his festival to be successful, but all this depends on how you manage your celebration. The first step is to ensure that the involved groups, which include the audience, the artists, and the investors, are in s safer hands. As a manager, you have to make them happy and make them feel contented with the presentation. The second group of people in the management staff and these people are the backbones of the firm. If they fail, then you have failed. They also need to feel safe and secure; this means that you are at a place of taking any risk that may arise. These risks may include dealing with the stress of the market and the unavoidable provocations that may occur.
As a part of the management of events and festivals, the law will apply since there must be the guidance of what one has to do and what he or she should be aware of. Facts about requirements depend on where one is operating his or her festival, whether privately or publicly (Yolal et al., 2016). Law regulations of such events depend on where it is taking place as they vary from country to country, homes to residences (public or private), and the sales involved. These regulations are carried out through licensing. In terms of the rules concerning the laws, there are two types of rules, there are the ones that you should know and adhere to, and there are others which some should know but not necessarily to adhere to them.
- As a festival manager, there are two central legislations that you should be aware of and be ready to adhere to the letter. These set of legislations include;
- "The Public Order Act (1986) updated by the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act (1994)"
- "The Licensing Act (2003)."
The first legislation, which is the |public order act of 1986," is an order whose main aim is about regulating the number of people who should be in one place at a time. This act states that no more than 20 people in one place (Tinsley, 2019). The aim of the licensing control act of 2003 is about the acquisition of licenses to the festival to acquire the right for public gathering. These licenses are similar to the permissions that are allowing someone to perform a specific act. Obtaining a reference from the festival, licensing is the act of giving someone freedom from a higher authority to operate a particular business, e.g., selling of alcohol in a public place and also hold festivals.
Festival management
A festival management plan is a document that gives you a clear picture by enabling you two to perform your event in the right manner through demonstrations whereby you can show others that you can do it (Raj et al., 2017). The event management plan guides to show you how to do, but it won't perform the operations for you, but you are the one to perform the duties by yourself.
To be clear that, operational management is the act of making sure that the right thing is at the right place at the right time. They include all the efforts it is human effort or mechanical effort. In running a festival, event management plays a significant role in enabling the success of the event. It goes hand in hand with creative design (Frost, 2016). This field is worked on earlier 2before the celebration begins; thus, no one realizes their effect, but when the facts on the stage fail, consequently, the audience will not be confident about your festival entirely, and that is when you will see that even the artist is annoyed. At this point, physical fixing will be experienced rather than the hidden one who was there.
Conclusion
The authors of these articles have classified the section into three parts, the historical background, its effectiveness in terms of management, and the principals involved in the planning of the events. The life of festivals and events has nourished with time over some time, whereby it has developed a lot of interest in the tourism industry. This field has led to the introduction of academic courses such as management courses, which leads to research. As we have seen, this article gives a review of the existing system of understanding by creating numerous questions about development. The essay explains to us how the management of festivals should be by also posing questions and answers.
As we all know, for a business to be profitable, the manager and his crew should be prepared to fight and make sacrifices for the benefit of the company. The manager of the event r the owner become the risk-taker to safeguard the audience and the group of people involved. Festival partners should follow the law through the acquisition of the licenses that allow them to operate, through this, one can work without going against any rule or regulation of the country he or she is working.
