The paper basically examines the social impacts that are brought out due to drug abuse. They have specifically highlighted the economic and social impacts of using illicit drugs. The problems which occur due to drug abuse and addictive constituents like tobacco and alcohol. They outlined that the increase in drug use has greatly contributed to international tension. These tensions originated due to the increase in unemployed personnel, community cohesiveness, and the increased changes in political alignment.

It has also performed a greater impact on families. This especially affects children due to the maltreatment they face as a result of drug abuse.

The scientist has put into use this knowledge to come up with treatment measures that can reduce the use of drugs by individuals. Drugs cause brain disease that affects the behavior of an individual.
In conclusion, this paper summarizes the effects that result due to drug and substance abuse to an individual and society. The research outlines many effects that eventually impact the behaviors of an individual. This research will directly be handed to scientists in order for them to research and develop control measures towards drug abuse.
