Physical Education

According to research conducted by Baranowski et al. (1992) on prevalence, cardiovascular, and assessment benefits of fitness and physical activity, physical fitness, and activity get identified as been vital to health. Physical fitness reduces the likelihood of diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and coronary artery disease, among others (Baranowski et al., 1992). According to Basch (2011), physical fitness and education aid in cognitive aspects. However, no factual findings regarding which was better among the two were made. Fleishman's (1964) article focuses on the measurement and structure of physical fitness. The use of fitness index computation, progress rate evaluation, and profile analysis got illustrated as the best measure of physical fitness. A positive correlation got reported. An increase in physical fitness increased the student's academic performance. Salovey et al. (2000) article on physical health and emotional states indicates that when individuals have a positive emotional state that may lead to healthy beliefs, perceptions, and physical well-being—having pleasant emotions and feelings results in good health.
