Introduction

When looking at the fundamental premise of experiential therapy, how it works, it often predetermined by one’s perception, therefore affecting their behaviour (Elliott & Greenberg, 2017). For instance, in the movie "Ya Sonra," in her seventh year of her marriage, a woman starts to feel neglected towards her spouse considering herself as inwignificant. In this case, the woman is identified as the family's patient.

Departure

As the tensions rises, the problems become more apparent. Her departure from the house signifies the breakdown of communication. They eventually file for a divorce because of the misunderstanding experienced between them. A family’s perception of reality may change depending on interventions that take different forms making them client-centred. In practice, these interventions should be honored to make them compatible with the client’s preferences. For example, one client may find animal-assisted therapy to be suitable while another prefers expression in the form of sculpture or drama.

Conclusion

Interpreting the mechanics under which families respond and recover from traumatic events requires drawing upon an evidence-based method for intervention. As such, it is essential to consider specific conceptual models of familial resilience as a way in which guidance can be provided. As most leading family theorists agree, families must consider certain factors of resilient adaptation to enhance their ability to understand the impact of events associated with stress and trauma. Hence, such adaptation may assist in making sense of the experiences encountered as a result of coherent and meaningful narratives.
