What is the purpose of one's QA plan?
One's Quality Assurance Plan entails improving sepsis care in the Emergency Department at one's hospital. One aim is at improving sepsis care, identifying it earlier, and treating it with the right medication since sepsis is found to be the primary cause of the increase in mortality rates in one's hospital.
What role will this plan play within one's organization?
One's plan will aid in reducing the number of increased mortality rates in one's hospital and also improve sepsis care. It will also be used in the improvement of patient care and the use of screening tools at the emergency department in order to identify the sepsis at an earlier stage and treat it effectively.
Will this be a research tool for policy determination or to assess the focused operations?
This plan will be used to assess focused operations that it will look into how the plan works and how effective it is in improving sepsis care.
Persons involved in developing the plan
One is a Chief Officer at the main hospital, together with various doctors and physicians who work at the emergency department. One chose this group because they are well versed in how to manage the patients, and also their years of experience can come in handy in setting up policies and implementations on how to improve on management of sepsis at the emergency department in the hospital.
Players within the organization that contribute to the development of this plan
One will also involve the Board of Directors of the hospital to ensure that this policy gets implemented. Also, other employees in the hospital, such as the Health Records Department, will aid in making this policy successful since they are the ones that record the patient's hospital details.
Process of Developing the Plan
Create Committee
One needs to create a committee to evaluate the policies that come with the plan (Howarth & Greenwood, 2017, p. 77). The committee will also be able to make some changes and also set meaningful goals to make the plan a success.
Sharing of News
One needs to share the information through emails, brochures to the staff (Howarth & Greenwood, 2017, p.80). But the most crucial part is to ensure that they understand deeply what the information states regarding the plan
Evaluation of results
Evaluation is conducted weekly and daily through monitoring (Manzanera et al., 2018, p. 30). When one does this, one will understand the problems that come with it and correct this issue.
Implementation
After one identifies the problems that come with this issue, one needs to immediately make the changes and also train the staff on how to make the plan effective (Manzanera et al., 2018, p. 55). The implementation will also ensure that the plan suits the hospital setting.
