Based on the customer analysis approach, write a "brand positioning statement" for Weight Watchers

In writing a brand positioning statement, the customer analysis approach would entail incorporating all the following in the statement; a customer should be able to see the reasons for buying the product. It should indicate for whom it is meant. Further, it should indicate what value it bears to the customers, and how exactly it is going to be put into use. As such, an ideal brand positioning statement would read:

For customers seeking to achieve wellness in their health, through keeping fit, observing healthy diet behaviors or losing their overweight, Weight Watchers is the ideal company that offers all that in a well customized weight-loss plan, up-to-date nutritional and behavioral science and expert coaching and ever-present caring community, since we care most about your health.

Identify a competitor of Weight Watchers. What brand/business aspect of this competitor is competing with Weight Watchers. Discuss Weight Watchers' and the competitor's point of parity and point of difference.

Nutrisystem has come out and proven to be a formidable competitor to Weight Watchers. While Nutrisystem has incorporated delivery of meals to homes, Weight Watchers relies on a platform that advises on the preparation of meals at home owing to a particular diet. Nutrisystem runs this system of delivering meals for a period of 28 days, while Weight Watchers consistently outline a program that helps in tracking what food was taken helps customers learn what nutrition and healthy diets entail, while at the same time advocating for fitness through the selling of fitness equipment.

In their points of parity, both Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem offer weight loss programs and products for dieting on a personal level, and online as well. Further, they both educate their customers on the importance of healthy nutrition and dieting. They have both incorporated exercises aimed at fitness in their routines. Besides, both systems advise on a maximum steady loss of 2 pounds per week.

Soft Drink brands

Compare and contrast Coca Cola's and Pepsi's attributes within the distinctiveness sub-dimension of the 3Cs model.

The Coca Cola Company and Pepsi company are huge businesses that are quite similar with regards to the industry within which they operate, the customers they seek to tap into, and their flagship products. Both companies lead on a global scale in producing different beverage brands. On the surface of things, both companies operate under the same models of business.

While Pepsi is associated with a diverse product portfolio, where it engages both in the beverage industry and snack foods industry as well, Coca Cola mainly relies on diversity in products within the beverage industry. As such, while a more significant percentage of Pepsi's revenue comes from sales outside the beverage industry, that of Coca Cola is entirely generated within the beverage industry.

In targeting consumers, Pepsi has sought to ensure that the purchase of one of its beverage products could trigger a subsequent purchase of another of its snacks-food products. On the other hand, Coca Cola has put its focus solely on one business model. As such, it has sought to achieve full dominance in the beverage industry. Coca Cola has so far thrived in this particular focus by making crucial investments and communicating directly with its target market.

Identify another soft drink brand, and discuss the competitive landscape of Coca Cola, Pepsi, and the brand selected, in terms of their PoPs and PoDs.

Dr Pepper Snapple is an equally significant competitor but has been overshadowed by the prominence of both Coca Cola and Pepsi. However, despite the fact that the current trend of most Americans moving away from sodas filled with calories to other forms of healthier energy drinks, Dr Pepper has still had its aspect of carbonated soft drinks contributing mainly to its significant sales. Further, just like Coca Cola, the Dr Pepper's rise in the market is owed to its beverage products. However, unlike its counterparts, Dr Pepper mostly fares better on the domestic market and has struggled to establish itself on the international spectrum. This domestic focus has served to its advantage.

Assuming you are advising a new soft drink brank to enter the market competing directly with the three brands in question, identify a possible brand position for your new brand, and write a positioning statement for it.

For customers seeking to achieve a healthy and nutritious satisfactory quench in their thirst, while at the same time experiencing delicacy in their taste, New Brand beverage offers precisely that, through its considerations of the tiny but fundamental health details that matter such as the reduction in calories and an increase in healthier energy inducive components.
