Nature refers to the biological factors that influence an individual's behaviors, such biological factors are often passed on from one generation to the other following the family lineage. Nurture on the other hand, are influences that arises from the environment and they affect behaviors of a person after birth. In most cases, people adapt to the environment where they grow. They also attempt to adopt cultures and different ways of life through learning and copying everyday action of the populace. Nurturing a person is a practice that is commonly facilitated by the parents, the society and the education system. Nurture has great impact on human behavior, in most cases, the character of an individual is dependent on the kind of people they associate with in their course of growth. Children brought up in a positive environment often tend to become morally upright. On the other hand, most children from environments where people thinks negatively usually tend to adopt deviant behaviors, antisocial behaviors that are against the norms and societal values. Education is one way of enhancing the skills and talents of a person, it is one aspect of nurturing an individual to conform to their abilities. In societies or families where children are not nurtured, there is often adoption of different behaviors that do not conform to an individual's ability. A person may be academically bright or capable but due to lack of proper guidance, they often fail to identify their lifetime capabilities, a situation that forces them to do whatever they have at hand. In most of the psychological studies, the character of a person is shaped by the people they interact with. The behavior of a person is a collection of nature of several personalities that they imitated or those whom they have interacted with for a given period of time.
Skillful leadership can play a critical role in shaping the collective efficacy of the work-group and merging efforts of different team members. Self-efficacy is defined as a person’s appraisal of their capability to attain a given level of performance. Self-efficacy arises from the individuals’ need to monitor their level of progress. Conversely, Group or shared efficacy refers to the collective constructs that are most common among the team members. As postulated by Buchanan (2008), it can thus be defined as the collective belief within the group’s shared capability to execute actions to achieve a certain goal. Subsequently, it influences group’s target goals and effort it is willing to put in. Thus, Barsade and Gibson (2012) claim that team and group efficacy are some of the most important factors that can impact on team performance. Leaders, therefore, can play a critical role in shaping a shared group efficacy in order to promote the ability of members within a group to become more interdependent. Given that people direct their actions to accomplish a certain goal; they monitor their progress through feedback. Nurture therefore has great impact on an individual behaviors as it attempts to shape the human interaction as shaped by the people that surrounds them. Although some behaviors are as a result of the biological adaptation and inheritance, much of the individual character is influenced by the environment.

Essay Sample #2
Humans tend to behave in a distinct way from the others. This is precisely due to their behaviors which may change in different environments. The way an individual is raised speaks volumes from his or her character traits portrayed by that person. The nature of the environment has a huge impact on every human. Different environments have disparities in cultures, languages, interactions. Thereby, it evokes the inhabitants of that particular environment to adapt to that environment and have their way of living which is distinct from others. Thus, nature is a profound means which dictates people from living or behaving similarly. This promotes the essence of diversity in behaviors of individuals. The way an individual is nurtured is another determinant of difference in how people behave. From the period of childhood, one is nurtured using to live and behave accordingly to the beliefs of their culture. Their culture and understanding of the environment become inbuilt towards that individual. Even when that person moves to a different environment, the behavioral standards inculcated to him or she will have a higher impact and won't have an influence towards the person. Thus, nurturing has not only a substantial effect on one's behavior but is also significant when a change in environment arises. As discusses, the human behavior can be easily influenced proportionately with either the nature or way of nurturing. Although nurturing plays a critical role in this area, the nature of an environment is crucial in changing one's behavior. Thereby, the aspect of adaptation crops in this debate. Even if diversity lies in the nature of people's environments, humans tend to easily adapt to new environments in a short span of time. Infact, the essence of the natural world was to make people from living using the same set of values. It promotes the reality of diversity in behaviors of individuals. The way an individual is nurtured is another determinant of difference in how people behave.
