Reclaiming conversation by Sherry turtle extends the critics with less emphasis on the robots and also more on the dissatisfaction with the technology that was reported on when the interviews were conducted. Turkle’s arguments are drawn from the extensiveness of her study together with the perception of the inner intuition. Conversation is one of Turkle’s principles since electronic communication can become a threat to humanity. She claimed that if people are unable to be separated from their smart phones, then they become consumed slowly by slowly and into pieces. 

Attention in conversation allows individuals to acquire attention from their families. They are given the opportunity to talk about their feelings rather than just acting on them. When someone speaks to one another, they are required to distinguish their humanity, and as a result, empathy is established. There has been a decline in empathy more on the college students due to increasing use of a smartphone to reduce boredom.

According to Sadri, Empathy entails the ability to be in another person situation and understand their feelings and their thoughts. Sadri identifies three components of empathy whereby three approaches were considered. There is the ability that assumes some people are born with more empathy than others. In this view, a person’s empathy can be measured with the level, and a score is given. The other view of empathy assumes that the same person is likely to experience different levels of empathy that is based on the different situation which leads to higher or lower levels of empathy. A third study noted that interviews were the best event that enabled empathy to grow. Empathy is important in leadership and also in the workplace.

Miller suggests that in all the work that people do be it surgery, driving or as simple as serving food, social skills are missing. Skills like empathy, flexibility, and cooperation have become important in today’s time. Technology seems to have taken a toll in the social skills whereby machines have been automating a whole bunch of activities. In her argument, Miller claims that jobs with social skills have been faring best in employment. In a research done, it was identified that the extent to which jobs require social skills developed with 24% between 1980 and 2012. It was determined that women were more advantageous in this kind of work and thus the transition. Trusting one another and investing in empathy brings out each other strength providing the ability to be coachable.
