A healthy lifestyle
Healthy Living refers to a kind of lifestyle choice that involves eating well and exercising regularly. A healthy lifestyle requires one to be keen on the kind of foods they consume. One has to restrict themselves to eating meals that are well balanced. These include food like green vegetables, oatmeal, broccoli, sweet potatoes, salmon, lean proteins, and eggs. Fruits are also beneficial in providing nutrients that a body needs to function well for one to maintain their health and have proper energy. One also has to eat three meals and drink at least six glasses of water a day. The unhealthy living is the result of eating food that is greasy and fatty, refined sugars, processed foods and carbonated drinks. Physical activities also help keep one physically fit and promotes better health.
Apart from the body, my health has many dimensions to it. One such other dimension is mental health which refers to the cognitive and emotional well-being. Mental health gives one the ability to enjoy life, to achieve balance, to adapt and be flexible and to self-actualize. There are other health dimensions like emotional, intellectual, social and environmental. These factors contribute to the general well-being of an individual. Therefore, one has to work on ensuring that they do whatever is necessary to bring about the harmony of all these health faculties.
A person who is healthy can function well and do their daily activities well without any problems. These activities include communicating and interacting with others well, reasoning well and carrying out any responsibility required of them. The inability to perform these activities could be due to an underlying problem of bad health. To know if I am healthy, I have to be keen on myself for me to notice small details that might indicate otherwise. I should go for regular checkups to ensure that I stay healthy.
