To change the world’s perception, attitude and approach towards cultures, there is a need to diversify their attention from the norm. Hence, to achieve the goal, there is a need to incorporate intercultural skills in the education systems. The call requires liberated people from stereotype mediocrity. The power to rise above the misconception of the past can only be realized by integrating our cultures. Besides, intercultural skills will enhance efficiency in communication regardless of race one has originated. Therefore, incorporating intercultural skills in the education sector; will help people learn different languages, making it easier to seek employment or touring in other countries. The skills will also contribute to sanity, equitability in the employment sector, and ease the world’s language barrier challenge. Segregating an individual based on race or gender denies any investor or a government an opportunity to acquire better skills and ideas. Depending on some unique ideas, slow the pace of development and growth of the economy.
In the current world, to incorporate intercultural skills is inevitable. Through the internet, a person can access information about different cultures, whether in print media or soft copy. Familiarizing with other cultures creates a conducive environment to interact freely without language barriers with people of varied races. Intercultural skill is a tool that can will be used to bring cohesion in the world. The impact will be realized when all the sectors treat intercultural skills as a requirement during employment.
Assuming the importance of this skill during employment can act as a downfall to an organization. In any set of organizations, effective communication attracts success. Failure to communicate effectively due to the language barrier will force clients to seek the same services or products in another service or product provider. Therefore, the hindrances will contribute to the fall of an investment causing many people to lose their jobs. The government’s failure to support intercultural skills as part of the study poses a threat to its development. There is no single administration that is self-reliant. Since they mutually benefit from each other, there is a need to support the intercultural skills in the learning institution.
The most astonishing picture that has come to my realization is how intercultural skills can help people change their approaches towards each other. Besides, a stereotype is a bondage that robs the people of exploring and acquiring diverse skills that contribute to the economy’s growth and other spheres of life. Being economically independent many not be realized by a sole state. Consequently, it is commendable for partnership and trading within the globe. Therefore, when some countries fail to support intercultural skills in their native countries, they either plan to fail or to remain in a static position.
Despite outstanding achievements, some countries such as the United Kingdom, America, and other developed countries have realized, incorporating intercultural skills in the educational curriculum remains a fundamental challenge. One would think that these countries are more advanced in terms of technology and innovation; incorporating intercultural skills would not be an issue.
