High dependence on social networking sites for communication and doing business is worsening the situation as it makes people less sociable. Even in public places such as restaurants, one can find groups of people sitting in silence because each one of them wants to concentrate on their smartphones and online conversations. Together, these points show that advances in technology are indeed making people less social.
