Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio, a single child, was born on the 11th of November 1974 in the state of Los Angeles in California. His parents were George DiCaprio and Irmelin, who divorced while he was still at his tender age. Leonardo was brought up by his single mother who was a secretary by profession. However, DiCaprio kept a close relationship with his father even after the divorce. His father was a distributor and artist of humorous books. Leonardo DiCaprio interests in acting started back when he used to make jokes with his parents and joking with people around him. He started acting career in the early 1990s when his first appearance was in Roseanne and The New Lassie, he later also found a role on a dramatic comedy program Parenthood. During this series of events, Leonardo met another actor by the name Tobey Maguire, who became good friend up to date. Through his journey, in 1991 he was involved in another film known as Growing Pains where he acted along with Alan Thicke and Kirk Cameron within the same year he was also featured in Critters 3. After another two years of hard work and tireless devotion to acting he came to appear as a major actor in This Boys Life where he played as Robert De Niro. A year later he was co-starring as Johnny Depp in the film Whats Eating Gilberg Grape. In this movie played a child with some mental disorders made him nominated for an Academy Award. In the same year, he was in various films such as The Quick, The Dead, and in 1996 he was in Romeo and Juliet, working with other great actors.

In 2008 Leonardo acted in another film that reflected the old 1950s ways of living and personal problems. The movie is known as the Revolutionary Road. Two years later he was again in other two film movies the Inception and the Shutter Island. In these following consecutive years, Leonardo DiCoprio became famous in these straight films J. Drama (2011), The Wolf of the Wall Street (2103), The Devil in the White City and The Revent (2015). In 2015 he was also again in nomination of Actor Academy Award where The Revenant garnered 12 nominations. The famous actor won his first Academy Oscar Award in his entire career. Oscar gave a very inspirational environmental speech during the 2016 Oscar awards. His environmental awareness campaign led him host Earth day celebration and even questioned the former United States president his Excellency Bill Clinton in Television program concerning the global warming. Leonardo produced and narrated the 11th hour a film shot in 2007. He is the founder of nonprofit community foundation found in California known as The Leonardo DiCaprio Fund, which creates and campaign for environmental awareness. He was also a senior board official in most of the big institutions. Part of his personal life has been spotted by mass media mostly concerning his major gains and losses in relationships where he dated model Gisele Bundchen in 2002 to 2005. After their break up with Gisele Bundchen, he was with model Bar Refaeli for several years not until 2011 when he was connected with Blake Lively, who is an actress.
