There are over 200,000 tourists originating from all over the globe who visit the Hawaiian Islands every day (McCartney 1). Such large populations tour Hawaii to enjoy the range of attractions that are inclusive of nature reserves, monuments, animal parks, and beautiful beaches among others. Over the last decade, the number of tourists visiting the nation has increased tremendously. In addition, it is also expected that the number of such visitors will continue to increase in Hawaii in the upcoming years. Such expected growth will be due to the great support that the Hawaiian government has offered to the sector through the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
Statistics that Project the Future Growth of Tourism in Hawaii
Research performed by various government agencies in Hawaii has illustrated that there will be an expected growth in tourism in the next decade, starting from 2019. For instance, according to the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (2018), the performance of tourism in 2019 and 2020 is expected to grow, with approximately 10.44 million visitors visiting Hawaii (DBEDT 1). Also, it is expected that the tourists that will visit the nation will generate net revenue of $20.5 billion in 2020, which will be higher than the projected revenue of $18.3 billion collected in 2019 (DBEDT 1). The following diagram illustrates the projections of the future performance of the tourism in Hawaii, in the oncoming two years.

Measures Used to Ensure the Increase of Tourism in Hawaii in the Oncoming Years
Security is a major concern for tourists visiting any destination location in the world. Insecurity can hamper the economic progress of the tourism sector in a nation as visitors shun away from dangerous places, such as war-torn or terrorist prone areas. Nevertheless, the Hawaiian government has structured effective methods of promoting and enforcing security in its Islands, which is a major facet of encouraging more people to visit the nation. Also, the Hawaiian government has strived to create a good communication and transport infrastructure to facilitate the attainment of a smooth flow of tourists in and out of the nation's islands. For instance, the good roads to different locations in Hawaii mean that tourists can travel easily from the airport to any part of the Islands. The cost of such transport is also affordable to all tourists, which also encourages more people to visit the nation.
Also, Hawaii has a complex waterway infrastructure constituting of numerous boats that form a convenient method of traveling between islands for tourists. Moreover, the government has ensured that the standard of all food establishments in Hawaii is kept remarkably high, to complement the rich cultural heritage enjoyed by tourists visiting the nation. That is achieved through the imposition of stringent legislation measures and requirements by the government, which requires all food retailers to comply with the set health and quality standards when retailing meals to tourists. Conclusively, the stated factors have made the Hawaii tourist sector to thrive in the past years and it is plausible that the future of the industry in the nation is good. That is because it will continue to grow, both in terms of the number of tourists visiting the nation as well as the total revenue generated by the industry.
