Interviewer: Why would you like to work with us?

Interviewee: According to the research I have completed, this organization is the leading Environmental Management authority with elaborate plans for the future. I am also aware of the diversity of the employees in this organization, and I enjoy working with people of diverse backgrounds who are brought together for a common goal. Therefore, I would be excited about an opportunity to work with you.

Interviewer: Why did you leave your last job?

Interviewee: After about five years working with Sheffield consultancy firm as a lead consultant, I felt I had gained enough experience and skills required for that role. I am now looking for an opportunity of growth where I could take more roles thereby adding value to the organization.

Interviewer: Aren't you overqualified for the job?

Interviewee: I understand and recognize the job market for what it is a marketplace. And like in the case of a marketplace it is subject to the laws of demand and supply. Therefore overqualified can be viewed as a relative term depending on how tight the job market is. For sure currently, the job market is very tight. I accept and understand that.

Interviewer: What are your future goals and expectations?

Interviewee: My immediate objective is to get a job as a Research Director in an organization which is goal-oriented as yours. My long-term goals are to Excel in the post and even seek further opportunities as the Managing Director. Indeed, I would be ready to take the necessary course that would prepare me for the management role.

Interviewer: Why should we hire you?

Interviewee: Due to the skills and experience gained from the previous jobs I feel fit for the job. My employers have always commented on my continued commitment to getting the job done.

Interviewer: What would you like to do differently in your life?

Interviewee: It has been a good life full of experiences, and I hope the best is yet to come. Every experience is a lesson in its way. I would not change a thing.

Interviewer: could you have done better in your previous job?

Interviewee: I suppose that with hindsight you may always find things done better. However, at the top of my head, I don't think of anything of significant consequences.

Interviewer: What makes you angrier?

Interviewee: People who are negative

Interviewer: What do you expect as a salary?

Interviewee: With regards to my background in the field as well as my skills, I believe that a fair salary range for a research Director would be between $45,000 and $50,000 a year.
