Elvis Presley and his parents then relocated from Tupelo Mississippi to Memphis, Tennessee in 1948. It was in Memphis that Elvis received his education at L.C. Humes high school. In his time spent at L.C. Humes High-school Elvis tasted his first musical triumph and accomplishment after winning a school talent show (Marsh). Elvis then graduated from Humes High School on June 3, 1953

Career

Elvis commenced his music career on July 5, 1954 in Memphis at the Sun Records Label where he made a demo of the songs for his mother "My Happiness" and "That's when your heartaches begin".
