In any given organization, employees play an important role, or in other words, an employee is referred to as an asset; therefore, the role played by an employee cannot be underestimated. Hence, it is essential to equip them with adequate training to help the organization maximize their job performance. This thesis seeks to explore the affects measures and types of training to the employees for better performance, using Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok as the case study. For the sole purpose of understanding the aim of the study, four goals were developed. These goals mainly focused on the mode and effective method of training, a correlation between exercise and performance, benefits accrued from the preparation to both the employer and the employee, and finally, the effects of training before and after on employee performance. To get the results of the above given research questions, a qualitative research approach method was adopted as a method of data collection. The results obtained indicated that training had a more significant impact on employees' performance. Also, the results showed that training had a more substantial effect on both the employee and the employer, such as training, which increases high morale to the employers. It also helps the employer improve on the quality of the staff. From the results, the most effective mode and methods of training were orientation and mentoring.
Coaching offered a great sense of responsibility, especially to the recruits, while orientation helped the employees familiarize themselves with new roles in the organization. Training provides performance improvement to both the employer and the employee since it brings about quality skills, abilities, positive change of behavior, and competence. Therefore, there exists a positive correlation between training and employee performance. There exists a positive difference in any given organization after the application of the mentioned training techniques.
Throughout this study, the job training system of Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok will be investigated, and suitable recommendations for a more effective job training system will be offered where necessary. The general aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of job training in the hospitality industry.
Objectives of the study:
a) To investigate the job training system of Eastin Grand Hotel Bangkok and to make an applicable recommendation for a more effective job training system
b) To assess the job training and development programs of the Eastin Grand Hotel Bangkok.
c) To identify the job training needs and practical job training approaches to achieve the goal of Eastin Grand Hotel Bangkok as the hospitality industry
