The problem under scrutiny in this research is the developmental disorders that occur in children during their early stages of growth and developing. The research has provided remedies to these conditions to help mitigate them. Some of these developmental disorders include language delay disorders, disabilities that develop from a child not being able to use cognitive skills in learning environments, and brain-related disorders such as autism. Some of these developmental problems are not permanent while others may last for a lifetime, hence affecting a child's developmental stage (Wallis, et al ., 2020)
It is, therefore, necessary for caregivers to adhere to universal screening of their children to detect any early signs of developmental disorders. This screening will further help in the diagnosis of the disorder. The main goal of screening and surveillance is to keep track of the child's developmental track and tame the potential of the disorder developing further and interfering with the life of the child (Wallace, 2018)
The devices for developmental screening are termed formal checklists or questionnaires based on the study that ask questions relating to a child's development, comprising movement, language, behavior, emotions, and thinking. It is mostly done by a nurse or doctor, or anyone with professional healthcare skills. Researchers reveal that early intervention in medication services can extremely enhance a child's development
Parents with children showing early signs of developmental disorders are encouraged to devote and follow to-the-letter screening seek appointments and attend appointments fully. This is important for a doctor to do follow-up activities to understand the jinx behind the condition and provide proper care. Health records from adhering to appointments help a doctor in researching more about the condition.
Regular screening and appointments help a pediatrician in making informed decisions, giving guidance, and making judgments results from the health records and referrals help in determining the prevalence of the disorder ( Zablotsky, et al ., 2009-2017) Lastly, early intervention is significantly essential, since intervention at any child development can be crucial. Therefore, it is vital to get an early evaluation for your child in case any development intervention is needed.
